At Providence, we strive to make the Gospel unignorable in our community. One way we do this is through a partnership with Timberwood Middle School. We aim to provide gospel-centered love and support to the students and staff, offering aid in any way God leads us. Currently, we participate in the following with TMS:

  • Weekly Bible Study with students every Tuesday from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

    • Teaching and assistant volunteers needed!

  • November: Boxes of Love Thanksgiving meals (see below)

  • December: Adopt-a-Student for Christmas

  • Various staff appreciation and miscellaneous needs as they arise

Surrounding our church are thousands of families that silently struggle. These everyday struggles are exasperated by the pressures to provide a warm meal for one another during the holiday season. Biblically, the people of God are called to step into this arena to provide where they cannot. Theologically speaking, this is precisely what Christ did for us. We were broken without an end in sight, and Christ entered into our arena to not only provide for "daily bread" but also to give us a gift more valuable than silver and gold: Himself.

Boxes of Love allows us to mirror this selfless act by providing a meal to those in our community who cannot do it for themselves but also give them the gift of the gospel. We believe this is our opportunity to show the same love of God that has been shown to us.
