We encourage you to take the time to work through this personal study guide before we gather together for women's meeting.
These questions and study tips will help you to look into the Scriptures and study John 15:1-11 on your own before we discuss together and are taught from this text on Tuesday.
Women's meeting will be held Tuesday July 16th at 7pm
Childcare available upon request. Please message Providence on social media or contact Lauren Schreiber (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you will be needing childcare.
Read John 15:1-11
How does verse one distinguish roles between Jesus and the father?
What fruit is Jesus concerned about in vv. 1-4 in this chapter and what things would warrant being “cut off” from the vine? What does being cut off and pruned truly mean? Reference Galatians 5:22, Psalm 80:8-15, and Jeremiah 2:21 to help formulate your thoughts.
Go through verses 4-10 and count how many times the word “Abide” is used.
In what ways can we abide in Christ? How does nearness to Christ render good fruit in our lives?
